I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
