  • The American Federation of Aviculture, Inc. (AFA) is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to keeping birds in our lives. The AFA helps fund small grants for avian research, conservation of species in the wild, provides disaster relief for bird owners in the United States, helps fund educational programs and an annual educational conference. The AFA keeps and eye on legislation designed to make bird keeping difficult or impossible, and we print the AFA Watchbird Journal, a magazine-like periodical chock full of educational articles on bird keeping and the businesses of birds.
